Memoirs: a book in your own words
Your journal, a trip or a family story turned into an illustrated book, in your own words.
In a memoir, you write the text. At /create choose “Memoir” as the story type and one of its seven kinds of memory: travel journal, family history, baby’s first year, our pet, our love story, a chapter of life, or letters and keepsakes. To see examples first, take a look at memory books.
Paste your text
In the story step you will see “Paste your text”: up to 1,000 words, about three or four pages. As you paste, the screen works out how many pages the book will have.
It is not meant for a whole journal: choose the memories you want to turn into a book.

- Your text, up to 1,000 words.
- How many pages the book will have.
“What should we do with your text?”
- Just as you wrote it: your text split into pages, with only basic fixes to spelling and punctuation, never rewritten.
- Polish it a little (the recommended one): better wording and rhythm, with your content, your order and your voice.
- Rewrite with style: tells it again in a heartfelt, humorous, epic or poetic tone, keeping the facts.

- Your text, split into pages, not rewritten.
- Smoothed out, in your own voice.
- Told all over again.
- In the tone you choose.
Who is in it, and where
The people in your memories are added like in any story, with a photo or a 3D avatar, and appear drawn in the scenes. You can also choose the places, for example the ones from the trip, with their photos. Characters and Places explain how.
Once the book is made
You change the text from the editor, like in any story. If you chose “Just as you wrote it”, cuentosIA doesn’t rewrite pages: any changes are yours to make by hand.
Frequently asked questions
Can I paste more than 1,000 words?
No: that is what fits in the longest book, 24 pages. If your text is longer, keep the memories that matter most to you.
What language will the book be in?
The language of your text.
Now you know how. Time for yours
All three modes cost the same: one story. If you get stuck on a step, this guide is still here.
