Translating a story in cuentosIA is not running a translator over it. A whole new story is generated in your library: text, moral, dedication and, in educational ones, the learning objective and teaching approach too.
There are 10 languages available: the four the site runs in, plus six more European ones that have no interface of their own but do have stories.

The 10 languages a story can be written in or translated into. The site interface exists in only 4 of them; the other 6 affect the story, not the site.
The illustrations are reused
They are not drawn again: they are the same ones from the original story, so the translated book looks exactly alike. The only exception is the cover, which is regenerated so the title appears in the new language.
The text formatting survives
Bold, italics, line breaks and the per-character dialogue colours are all kept in the translation. A line marked as your daughter speaking still is.
The original is untouched
The translation is an independent copy with its own characters, its own revision and its own PDF. You can edit it freely: the story you started from stays as it was.
Frequently asked questions
Do I lose the original story when I translate it?
No. The translation is created as a new story in your library. The original stays intact and you can keep both.
Are the illustrations generated again?
No, they are reused exactly as they were. Only the cover is regenerated, so the title appears in the new language instead of the original one.
Can I order the printed book or the audiobook of a translation?
Yes. A translation is a full story in your library, so it takes the same add-ons as any other: PDF, printed book and audiobook.
How long does it take?
Between one and three minutes. Most of that time goes into regenerating the cover with the translated title.
