The 25 illustration styles for your story
Nineteen can be picked in any story and six belong to the Club. Here are all 25, each with a real example.
The illustration style is not a filter applied at the end: it decides the atmosphere of the whole book. The same story in watercolour and in pixel art does not read the same, and is not remembered the same way.
There are 25 styles in the catalogue. 19 can be chosen in any story and 6 are exclusive to the Story of the Month Club. Below are all twenty-five with a real example of each, made with the same engine that will illustrate yours.

The 25 styles in the catalogue. 19 can be chosen in any story; the 6 marked as Club are exclusive to the subscription.
When you choose it
The style is picked in the wizard, before the illustrations are generated, and it applies to the whole book: cover, scenes and back cover. Every character keeps their appearance from one page to the next, whichever style you choose.
If you join and then leave
Access to the six Club styles is checked when you pick the style, not when the drawing happens. A story you started as a member keeps regenerating in its premium style even if you cancel: it is not left half finished.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change style halfway through the story?
Yes, as long as you have not closed the book. Changing it regenerates the illustrations in the new style, and those regenerations come out of the allowance of 10 that each story has.
What is the difference between the included styles and the Club ones?
None in quality or resolution. The 6 Club styles are the most expensive to produce and are reserved for the subscription; the other 19 are available in any story.
Is there a better style for very young children?
Watercolour, 3D Animation and Classic Storybook are the three most chosen for the youngest ages: gentle strokes and light colours. Colouring Page is a case apart, because it comes out in black and white to print and colour in at home.
Can I see the style before deciding?
Yes. Each style is shown with an example inside the wizard, and on this page you have all twenty-five together so you can compare them at a glance.
